Throughout my career, I have demonstrated this commitment by working directly with impacted individuals, mobilizing grassroots activists, collaborating with civil rights organizations, and engaging with legislators to affect meaningful change.

As an organizer, civil rights lobbyist, and community leader, I have honed my problem-solving skills and fostered meaningful connections within our community.
CHAMPIONING LEGISLATION FOR SOCIAL IMPACT
During my tenure as a lobbyist for the ACLU of Nevada, I spearheaded the passage of crucial bills born from my grassroots organizing and activism. I helped to successfully advocate for legislation to ensure dignity for incarcerated women by guaranteeing incarcerated women receive essential menstrual products and improved maternal-infant bonding, and life saving exams. This achievement, despite facing skepticism, underscores my determination and ability to drive change.
Additionally, I championed Senate Bill 155, derived from my work defending the rights of those experiencing homelessness. By organizing protests, collaborating with the legal and law enforcement community, and strategizing with state legislators, we secured a more compassionate approach, including the dismissal of criminal charges and the provision of necessary services for our most vulnerable community members.
INSPIRING ACTION FOR TRANSFORMATION
One of my greatest strengths lies in my ability to inspire and motivate individuals to recognize their potential and take meaningful action. I firmly believe that empowering people is the cornerstone of any successful social or political movement. From mentoring youth in my community to collaborating with national think tanks, I am constantly learning and evolving to bring about positive change.
